Doctrinal Statement

INSPIRATION—We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired and infallible, authoritative Word of God and that God gave the words of Scripture by inspiration without error in the original autographs. We believe that God promised to preserve His Word (Mt. 24:35), and has done so in the traditional Hebrew and Greek manuscripts. We believe the Authorized Version (KJV) to be the most accurate English translation of the preserved Word of God.

TRINITY—We believe in one God eternally existing in three co-equal persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

INCARNATION—We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, completely God, completely man.

HOLY SPIRIT—We believe that the Holy Spirit, convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He indwells the believer and empowers the preaching and teaching of the gospel.

MAN—We believe that man, created in the image of God, sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is eternal separation from God. We further believe that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and which manifests itself in thought, word, and deed.

ATONEMENT—We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins thus becoming the substitutionary sacrifice for all. Those who believe in Him receive salvation made possible through Jesus’ shed blood as a gift of God.

RESURRECTION, ASCENSION, ADVOCACY—We believe in the literal resurrection of the body of our Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate.

SALVATION—We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, made to be the children of God and are joint heirs with Jesus Christ.

ESCHATOLOGY—We believe in the blessed hope which is the personal, pretribulational, premillennial and imminent return of Jesus for His Church

FUTURE STATE—We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting suffering of the lost in hell, and the everlasting happiness of the saved in heaven.

DEVIL—We believe in a real personal devil who is working in the world to destroy the souls of men. We further believe that he will be cast with all his angels and the lost into the lake of fire to be tormented eternally.

CHURCH—We believe in the church, the body and the bride of Christ, whose mission is outlined in Mt. 28:19-20.

SEPARATION—We believe according to 1 Thess. 5:22 that the Christian should abstain from all appearances of evil, that we are to be separate from the world, and that we should strive for the holiness that God has called his children to.
